section below about fertilizer and your plants.
REPOTTING
Water
the plan you are going to transplant in its present container and allow it to
drain. Remove the plant form its
existing container by holding the stem with one hand, turning the pot upside
down and gently tapping the side of the pot.
Entire root ball and plant should come out easily. Lightly rub root ball to remove excess soil
from root base. Fill pots, large or
small with the mix. Moisten thoroughly
with warm water. Place plant in center
of prepared pot. Add more High Hope Booster Potting Soil and
press plant firmly but gently into new soil.
Fill to on-half inch from top rim.
Water again.
CUTTINGS
Fill
pot or flat with mix, tamping down lightly to make a level flat surface on half
inch below the rim of the container.
With a pencil make holes in soil for cuttings. Insert plant cuttings into holes. Keep soil moist and avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
GETTING STARTED WITH SEEDS
Fill
clean pot or flat with mix tamping down lightly to make a flat level surface on
half inch below the rim of the container.
Water thoroughly without disturbing the surface soil, and let excess
water drain off. Sow seeds according to
instructions on package, thinly and uniformly.
Position away from direct sunlight.
When leaves are visable transplant into new container of High Hope Booster Potting Soil. Hold seedlings by their leaves, not by their
roots. Note the fertilization requirements for your plants.
WATERING YOUR PLANTS
Test
soil for moisture content frequently.
When dry to the touch, water the plant thoroughly and let the excess
water drain from the bottom of the pot.
Do not let plants sit in water.
If Container has a built in storage tray, tilt pot until excess drips
off. Remember plants in plastic
containers require less frequent watering, while plants in clay pots dry out
more quickly. All pots should have
drain holes in the bottom.
GOOD PLANT GROWTH DEPENDS
UPON FEEDING
Fertilizing
your indoor and outdoor potted plants is vital for healthy plant growth. Fertilize your plants shortly after
repotting, after cuttings have rooted and after seeds have germinated. Fertilize plants according to instructions
for specific species. Look for a
complete, soluble fertilizer.
Importantly establish a regular fertilization program. Since High
Hope Booster Potting Soil is sterile you need to begin a fertilizing plan
as soon as you plant.
